Nilsson’s Electricity and Technology Museum

Discover the history of electricity and technical developments through a wide range of over 2,000 carefully renovated objects which are on display in this amazing although relatively small museum. The museum’s collection, which has been established through years of effort by Henrik Nilsson (Jnr.) and his father, Rolf Nilsson, connects local cultural heritage with ground-breaking technological developments from 1850 until the present day.

You can for example learn more about the early days of electricity all the way to how current day solar cells operate. There is a permanent exhibition and a smaller temporary exhibition of changing topics.

The museum is open on Wednesdays between 16.30-19.30

On Wednesdays, we work on different projects. We take pride in getting our many pieces in working order; you are always welcome to come in and either join in the work or just take a look and enjoy a cup of coffee and a chat with all kinds of interesting people.

The museum collaborates with Study circles. (Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan (SV).

The museum is run by the association “Vänföreningen Nilssons El & Teknikmuseum”. The annual membership fee is 200 SEK.
